Resolution with a Sparkle

We spent our New Years at the Radisson Blu hotel, immersed in the same ambience that translated from my dress. It was just as amazing as what everyone claimed it to be, and having the mall very much accessible hit a soft spot for a shopaholic like myself.

A picture of the same dress that I wore on my 20th birthday celebration! Proof that fashion is timeless no matter the year and time. Taken by my best friend, Skye
It may just be my frivolous superstitious beliefs, but starting out the new year right is a sign of good luck. In the hopes of achieving my goals for the upcoming year, I picked out one of my favorite dresses from my closet. Reaching out for something more practical would've been too illogical for me because sequins and glitter have always been associated with celebrations. Not only that, but this dress also contain lots of wonderful memories that I want to preserve as I make new ones.
One of my hopes for this upcoming year is to mature in both my fashion sense and writing. I realized as this year was coming to an end that I have changed my style a lot since my hipster days. The crave for drastically coloring my hair on a last-minute whim is coming to an end, and my love for the punky attitude and profanity-covered clothing is stalling for the mean time.
There will always be room for improvement, and this year,
I hope to dress as if there was a celebration every day, write and read more, save so I can travel, and do all of the things that I want to do while still maintaining my rebellious streak.
Happy 2014 to all of you!
