The 1,095th Day

It wouldn't be a celebration for me if it didn't involve fashion. To commemorate our somewhat short-but-feels-like-forever relationship of 3 years, my big ambitions led Brain to come explore the city of Minneapolis with me. Inspired by the fashion magazines sitting around in my apartment, this is our own take on an editorial that may or may not spill the juicy secrets of our relationship! *Exaggeration intended*

Fashion is ultimately my biggest passion and throughout time I've somehow managed to transfer on the love to Brain, although he may not be obsessed yet. Having someone who is polar-opposite to me, it's fun to juxtapose our weird character once in a while. Brain rules the cosplay platform while I dictate the fashion side.
It's a win/win.

On me:
Utility jacket: "Sorry I'm Bad" Forever 21. Similar one here
Black Jumpsuit: "Sparkle and Fade" Urban Outfitters. Similar one here
Waist belt: Express
Booties: Gifted from a friend
Faux fur accessory: Abercrombie & Fitch
Sunglasses: Francesca's. Similar one here
On Brain:
He's wearing Express head to toe :)

One of my all time favorite shots! The colors give the picture a very vintage vibe. This was taken just down the block from the Riverplace building in Minneapolis.

I don't often like to give out relationship advice because I'm still searching for answers of my own, but the one thing that I can honor is that finding someone who can make you laugh in any way, even if they're lame jokes, is a essential part to a happy relationship. It sounds obvious, but I find it hard not to be awkward in a room with someone who can't crack a witty comment or can't understand my sarcastic humor. It's been tested many times.

But in all seriousness at its most simplest terms, I'm really thankful to have someone who is extremely patient and understanding. He supports all of my crazy ambitions even though it doesn't benefit him at all and always approaches me with enthusiastic ideas when a fashionable thought occurs to him. He's not exactly the best gift picker but he has given me the gift to appreciate the people and the things that I love.
To thank him for embarking on the city roads (which everyone knows he despises) to take these pictures with me in the freezing cold, I'll finally give in to his long awaited Wonder Woman and Batman photoshoot. It'll have to wait though, maybe for our 10th year? Kidding. Whenever you're ready ^^

On me:
Trench: H&M. Similar one here
Hat: Vintage
Plaid Skirt: Abercrombie & Fitch. Similar one here
White Knit: Abercrombie & Fitch. Similar one here
Necklace: Vintage
Knee highs: Target
Gloves: Gifted
Booties: Gifted

Thanks to my awesome sisters, Cynthia and Darly Vu, for taking these pictures and coordinating the shots and poses :)
